Piku fame director Shoojit Sircar is all ready for his next project THE UMESH CHRONICLES.<\/p>\n
After Piku, Gulabo Sitabo, and the yet-to-released Shoebite, this will be Shoojit Sircar’s fourth collaboration with Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Whereas, it will be the first collaboration of Sircar with late Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan’s son, Babil Khan.<\/p>\n
Babil Khan is gearing up for his acting debut this year with the Netflix India Original,\u00a0Qala. It is being jointly produced by Shoojit Sircar and his business partner Ronnie Lahiri in association with an international production company. Sweden-based filmmaker Pooja Kaul will also make her feature directorial debut with this film. The director has previously helmed award-winning short films like\u00a0Rasikan Re,\u00a0Winter Trail, and\u00a0Sundar Sari.<\/p>\n
The storyline of the film spins around an urban lady, pushing a limit among tradition and modernity and not completely quiet in either, however making her own space between the two. The film additionally addresses two ‘Indias’ living close to one another, yet at the same time imparts the extraordinary Indian code of some way or another dealing with the finesse of living next to each other.<\/p>\n
The film has already gone on floors in Lucknow and will be shot there for over a 20-day schedule. The makers are planning to premiere it at multiple international film festivals worldwide before releasing it in India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
