While the news has been shocking for his fans, the latest revelation has it that the actor has been evading taxes as confirmed by the Income Tax department itself.<\/p>\n<p>The income tax department has been conducting raids at the actor&#8217;s Mumbai residence for three days in a row and in a statement issued by the income tax department, it has been informed that Sonu Sood had evaded taxes over Rs 20 crores. The statement came just after the 48-year-old actor announced a tie-up with Delhi&#8217;s Cheif Minister Arvind Kejriwal led political party, Aam Aadmi Party.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;During the course of search at the premises of the actor and his associates, incriminating evidences pertaining to tax evasion has been found. The main modus operandi followed by the actor had been to route his unaccounted income in the form of bogus unsecured loans from many bogus entities,\u201d the tax department said in the statement against Sonu Sood.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Investigations so far have revealed use of 20 such entries, the providers of which, on examination, have accepted on oath to have given bogus accommodation entries. They have accepted to have issued cheques in lieu of cash. It has also been revealed that these bogus loans have been used for making investments and acquiring properties.
