Munmun, who has been catering to fashion and travelling in her vlogs, recently sparked a controversy when she used a casteist slur in one of her YouTube videos.<\/p>\n
For the unversed, Munmun Dutta uploaded a video on her YouTube channel and used a casteist slut while referencing her looks. The actress, who now claims that she was unaware of the actual meaning of the word, used it very casually in her video which created a furore on social media. While Munmun was quick to trim that part from her video, the internet is written in ink and netizens trended #ArrestMunmunDutta on Twitter.<\/p>\n
In response, Munmun Dutta issued an apology letter on her social handle and mentioned that she was misinformed about the meaning of the word. “This is in reference to a video that I posted yesterday where in one word used by me has been misinterpreted. It was never said with the intent of insult, intimidate, humiliate or hurt anyone\u2019s feelings. Because of my language barrier, I was genuinely misinformed about the meaning of the word. Once I was made aware of its meaning immediately took the part down,” the letter read.<\/p>\n
