Anees Bazmee’s laugh riot, Welcome, has been one of the most iconic comedy movies of the country of this decade and the fans remain loyal to the franchise despite the poor performance of the sequel released in 2015. While the second instalment of the franchise failed to live up to the expectations of the fans, the audience has been excitedly waiting for a third part. Following long rumours, the latest report suggests that the third instalment is finally making.

According to a source close to the development of the franchise, the makers have locked the project and Welcome 3 is expected to go on the floors early next year. The makers have reportedly finalized a huge cast for the project and we can expect nothing less than two hours of non-stop laughter. While the second instalment introduced a few new characters alongside the iconic characters reprised by Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar, the reports suggest that the third instalment might witness more inclusions.

There has been no confirmation on the cast of the movie yet but the early reports suggest that Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor will be reprising their characters of the don brothers in the movie along with Paresh Rawal in a key role. The script has reportedly been locked and the makers are planning to expand the scale of the project. However, contradicting the claims, filmmaker Anees Bazmee had earlier revealed that he is not keen on making the third instalment of the Welcome franchise given the poor experience while shooting Welcome Back.
