Following the traces of perfectionist Aamir Khan who leaves no stone unturned to get under the skin of his characters or to do justice to the script, actor Vicky Kaushal underwent major challenges to craft his character for  his upcoming movie ‘URI: The Surgical Strike’.

Vicky who started getting considerable recognition in the commercial cinema with movies like Sanju, Raazi, Manmarziyan, will be seen essaying the role of an Indian Army officer Major Vihaan Singh Shergill, leading the 2016 surgical strike in URI.

To put impeccability to his character, the ‘Raazi’ actor pulled out all stops to fulfill the demand of his character. The actor recently shared a video on his social media handle where he shows us glimpse of his physical training that he had to undergo to achieve the demeanor and aura of an Army officer.

Being trained under the professional guidance of Rakesh Udiyar who also happens to be the personal trainer of Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, Vicky sweated hard to gain 15 kgs of muscle weight and also went through extensive military training to boost his stamina to fit effortlessly into the shoes of an army officer.

Sharing his experience during the process of transformation, the actor expressed how difficult it was for him to bulk up from his lean physique, but the constant hard work and motivation made him to achieve his goal. Now he is all geared up to bring something beyond ordinary on screen with URI.

Directed by Aditya Dhar under RSVP banner, the movie traces the real incident of  India’s retaliation with Surgical Strike on terrorists camps in PoK in 2016 as to their brutal attack on Indian soldiers in Kashmir’s Uri base camp . The movie will also feature Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and Kirti Kulahri in pivotal roles.

After URI, the actor will be soon seen in Karan Johar’s  multistarrer period drama ‘Takth’ along with Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Jahnvi Kapoor.
