Bollywood actor Ameesha Patel has found herself in the middle of a legal soup after getting directly involved in a cheque bounce case. A production house filed a legal complaint against the actress after two of her cheques bounced. A bailable warrant has been issued against Ameesha Patel regarding this case.
As per the report, UTF Telefilms Private Limited has accused the actress of defaulting her payment and claims that she borrowed money to make a move and two of the cheques she sent to the company bounced. After registering a complaint against her, the Bhopal court issued a bailable warrant against Ameesha Patel and she has been summoned to appear before the court on December 4 for the hearing.
While the actress has not issued any public statement in relation to this case, she might face an arrest warrant if she fails to appear before the court on the asked date. The case registered against her claims that she has defaulted payment of over 32 lakhs rupees.
On the work front, Ameesha will be reuniting with Sunny Deol in the sequel of the iconic movie, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. An official announcement of the sequel was recently made by the makers. The announcement video confirmed Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol reprising their characters in the second instalment of the franchise. Gadar 2 will also be helmed by Anil Sharma.
