Filmmaker Vishal Furia is quite occupied with the pre-production work of his upcoming film Forensic that will feature Vikrant Massey on the cast. His utmost among the list of priorities is safety on the set in the time of Covid.

Furia believes that the current wave is spreading even more quickly and quite a few film sets are affected. Many celebrities and other members of the cast are tested positive too. He seriously thinks that one’s life always comes first so he suggests that in this scenario, if possible, one should not get onto shoots at least till the number of the cases are in control. Vishal advises that only when absolutely necessary, the production should ensure that a proper bio-bubble is created.

The film’s lead actor, Vikrant, coincidentally posted on social media that he has tested positive for COVID-19. The producer, Mansi Bagla, notes that the pandemic blocked growth and interferes with the commercial food chain for all stakeholders and the crew. The world has been dealing with the virus for a year now, and on that note, she realised that everybody has learnt the art of contingency planning.

Talking about the film, Forensic is a remake of a Malayalam film of the same name that released in February 2020. Vishal is presently emphasising to produce it in the Hindi script. Vikrant and Vishal have co-worked earlier in Criminal Justice.

The makers have planned to start shooting when Vikrant completely recovers and the numbers of victims are in control. The film is still at its pre-production stage so the lead actor’s health isn’t hampering the production. Post that, they will be creating a proper bio-bubble and also take precautions by shooting at venues that are safe for everyone.
