In an unexpected turn, Vikrant Massey has exited Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming action thriller Don 3. The actor was all set to play the main antagonist opposite Ranveer Singh and was expected to bring a sharp and intense edge to the film. His character was a smooth-talking scamster with high-octane action scenes and a stylish persona, but Vikrant has reportedly decided to opt out.
Sources say the role required a major physical transformation and involved several action-heavy face-offs with Ranveer Singh. While the reason behind Vikrant’s decision remains undisclosed, his departure has left the production team in urgent need of a replacement.
The filmmakers have already begun reaching out to other top talents. Among those being considered are Vijay Deverakonda and Aditya Roy Kapur. Though talks are ongoing, neither actor has officially signed on yet.
An insider close to the production team shared that while Vikrant would have been a fantastic choice, they are confident another equally talented actor will take on the role and deliver a powerful performance.
With filming scheduled to begin in January 2026, the casting team is working quickly to finalise the new face of the antagonist. Fans are eagerly waiting to see who will step into the spotlight alongside Ranveer Singh in this next chapter of the Don franchise.
More updates are expected soon as the makers gear up for what promises to be one of the most exciting action films of the year.
