The keenly anticipated Hindi remake of the Tamil-language neo-noir action thriller film, Vikram Vedha, has been one of the most-awaited projects under production. While the fans are excited about the developments and eagerly waiting to witness the clash between Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan on the big screen, the latest reports are a treat.
According to sources close to the development of the project, the Hindi remake featuring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan as the leads is mounted on a gigantic budget of 175 crores rupees. If it comes out true, the Vikram Vedha remake will replace War as Hrithik Roshan’s most expensive project to date as the latter was reportedly made on a budget of 158 crores.
On the other hand, the original movie featuring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi‘s face-off was a great success but was made on a low budget of 11 crores. However, it managed to pull the right strings and turned out to be a blockbuster. Meanwhile, speaking about making the Vikram Vedha remake, filmmaker Pushkar said that there was no pressure from the producers or distributors about adapting the film for the Hindi version.
“We know how to make films in a certain way, and we will stick to that only. I hope people don’t think of it as ‘Bollywoodised’ or anything. There has been no pressure from any quarters to do it in a certain way, let’s put it that way,” he added.
Helmed by Pushkar-Gayatri, Vikram Vedha Hindi remake is slated for a release on 30th September 2022.
