Vikram Vedha, a movie starring Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan, is making headlines for all the right reasons. The movie is slated to have the biggest release ever. The Pushkar-Gayatri-directed movie will reportedly be released in 100 different nations. On September 30, the movie will also be released outside of India in North America, the UK, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. Variety reports that Vikram Vedha will be released in 22 European nations. The movie will also be distributed in 27 African and Latin American nations. It covers countries that Bollywood does not have territory in, such as Japan, Russia, Panama, and Peru.
The action-thriller movie is directed by Pushkar and Gayatri and is based on the Indian folktale “Vikram aur Betaal.” In it, a fierce police officer named Vikram (Khan) sets out to find and murder a similarly tough gangster named Vedha (Roshan). A game of cat and mouse develops as Vedha, a skilled storyteller, assists Vikram in removing the layers of a succession of tales, revealing moral dilemmas.
The movie is produced by T-Series, Reliance Entertainment in association with Friday Filmworks, Jio Studios, and YNOT Studios. Bhushan Kumar, S. Sashikanth are producers. For the movie’s worldwide release, Reliance Entertainment and Home Screen Entertainment worked together.
Head of Reliance Entertainment’s global operations Dhruv Sinha stated: “With the star power of ‘Vikram Vedha’s’ lead talent, it has received immense affection and respect from the audience and trade alike. Teams from Home Screen Entertainment and Reliance Entertainment Overseas have made sure the movie is seen by as many people as possible worldwide.”
The movie is a remake of the popular “Vikram Vedha” Tamil movie from 2017, which was also directed and produced by Pushkar and Gayatri and starred R. Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi.
