The movie Vikram Vedha, starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, is scheduled to hit theatres next Friday. It is a remake of the 2017 cult Tamil movie of the same name and also stars Rohit Saraf as Vedha, who plays the character of Vedha’s (played by Roshan) brother. In the action thriller, the young actor will appear in a never-before-seen avatar.

“I’ve always found Hrithik sir and the stories about how he prepares for every role he portrays, interesting,” Saraf recalls when reflecting on his time spent working with Roshan on Vikram Vedha. And I was given the rare opportunity to see the giant working magic in real-time.”

He claims that having on-screen interaction with the War (2019) star enabled him to fulfil a lifelong ambition. The 25-year-old continues, “Having the opportunity to portray his brother in Vikram Vedha is nothing short of a dream come true, not to mention the heaps and loads I got to share as a co-actor and the influence it had on my growth while working on a project together.”

The directing team Pushkar-Gayathri, who also wrote and directed the original movie with R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi, are behind the new movie. If you ask Saraf about working with them, he says, “I am so delighted that I could be a part of a film that’s being handled by the most incredible director duo- Pushkar and Gayathri. He’s appeared in Ludo (2020), The Sky Is Pink (2019), and Mismatched. Even though the role I played had every reason to make me feel differently, the directors were so well-prepared that I felt really secure. I had the impression that they would catch me if I fell. There isn’t a better feeling than that.”

Presenters of Vikram Vedha include Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Reliance Entertainment, together with Friday Filmworks, Jio Studios, and a YNOT Studios Production. Bhushan Kumar, S. Sashikanth, and Reliance Entertainment produced the film. On September 30, it will hit theatres all around the world.
