Veteran Bengali actor Victor Bannerjee, known for his work with international filmmaker David Lean and legendary director Satyajit Ray, is set to appear in a Hindi film directed by singer Zubeen Garg.
The project, titled Chakra, is a political thriller. Zubeen not only directed the film but also starred in one of the lead roles. His untimely passing last week left the industry and his fans in deep shock.
Speaking about their collaboration, Victor Bannerjee shared, “I just completed a film with Zubeen where he is also my co-star. It will be released next month. I enjoyed watching him act as much as the world enjoys him singing. Zubeen was a great son of our soil.”
Victor also opened up about their bond, saying, “Zubeen and I were friends. I shall miss him. What a waste of greatness. The heavens are intoxicated with his charm now. May he stay singing in peace.”
The release of Chakra next month will mark one of the final works of the late singer-actor, making it a project of both cinematic and emotional significance.
