The collaborations between Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala have always been fruitful and when Sajid Nadiadwala announced his upcoming comic flick, LOL: Land of Lungi, Akshay Kumar was speculated to play the lead. However, current reports suggest that Vicky Kaushal has replaced Akshay in the project.
According to the source, Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala were keen on working together on this project but Akshay was preoccupied with a number of upcoming projects which included Sooryavanshi, Laxmmi Bomb, and The End. Therefore Akshay asked Sajid to search for a replacement and the makers of LOL: Land of Lungi came up with Vicky Kaushal to lead the pack of the common man in their movie.
Vicky Kaushal has already proved his acting potential with movies like Raazi, Sanju and URI: The Surgical Strike and the producers are happy to take him onboard since he has never appeared in a masala comedy action movie before. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal has also shown his interest in the project and keen on working in this genre.
Currently, Vicky Kaushal is shooting for the Sardar Udham Singh and he will also start work for Karan Johar’s Takht soon. The development for LOL: Land of Lungi will start after finalizing the female lead.
