Bollywood has been obsessed with remakes and biopics for the longest and almost every other movie is one of the two. While the trend has turned out bankable for the filmmakers, many classic hits are being remade with modern elements. Dharmendra, Om Prakash, Amitabh Bachchan, Asrani and Sharmila Tagore starrer cult comedy Chupke Chupke is also being remade with a modern-day adaption by Luv Ranjan.
Rajkummar Rao has earlier confirmed playing the lead in the remake and now the reports suggest that Vicky Kaushal is being approached by the makers to play the character of Amitabh Bachchan in the movie. Although the actor has not signed the dotted line yet, the makers are considering him to be a perfect fit to walk in the shoes of the megastar and portray his nuance. It was earlier reported that Rajkummar Rao will be reuniting with Ayushmann Khurrana for Chupke Chupke remake but the latest reports suggest that it was merely a rumour.
