With the massive success of ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike, Vicky Kaushal’s first commercial solo blockbuster hit in January this year, the actor will now soon be seen in yet another patriotic project directed by the man of details, Shoojit Sircar in Shahed Udham Singh’s biopic.
The actor is on almost every filmmakers list as a lead for their projects ever since. He is now among the most bankable superstar actors in the industry we have today.
Shoojit who has made some of the most beautiful and enriching movies in Bollywood, from Yahaan in 2005 followed by Vicky Donor (2012), Madras Cafe (2013), PIKU (2015) and October (2017), the director has proved his mettle and his versatility each time.
Produced by Ronnie Lahiri, this is the first time Shoojit will be directing a biopic on an Indian revolutionary, Sardar Udham Singh, who in order to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919, assassinated Michael O’ Dwyer and was eventually convicted of murder and hanged in the year 1940.
Vicky made an official announcement of the same today on his social media accounts stating how this is a moment of honor for him to work with Shoojit, one of the many directors he hoped and wished to work with since very long.
