It was earlier reported that filmmaker Jackky Bhagnani is looking forward to the sequel of the classic love drama, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein and approached Kriti Sanon to play the female lead. The latest report informs us that the makers of the highly-anticipated sequel are in talks with the Manmarziyaan actor to play the male lead.
According to a source close to the development, the makers were on a hunt for a fresh and unconventional casting when they were suggested the names of Vicky and Kriti by a casting director. Both the actors have reportedly given their nod to do the film and modalities in terms of financials and dates are being worked upon. The makers are also approaching filmmaker Ravi Udyawar to direct the movie.
Kriti Sanon has a line up of movies due for release. The actress is currently filming Bhediya with Varun Dhawan and will join Prabhas for the mythological drama, Adipurush. She also has Tiger Shroff starrer Ganpath and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo Hindi remake in her kitty. On the other hand, Vicky Kaushal is currently prepping for the filming of comedy-drama, Mr. Lele, and soon after he will start the ambitious project, The Immortal Ashwatthama.
If everything goes as expected, the sequel to the romantic drama, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, is planned to go on the floors in the last quarter of 2022.
