Breaking the stereotypes, Veere Di Wedding became one of the greatest hits of the year 2018 and witnessed the first super-successful girls’ gang movie with the ensemble cast of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania in the prominent characters. Despite receiving mixed reviews, Shashanka Ghosh directorial managed to do a great business at the Indian box office.

While there had been many speculations about a sequel to the to blockbuster, the makers of the movie have kept their mum over the rumours. However, in a recent media interaction with Pinkvilla, the leading lady of the movie, Kareena Kapoor Khan, opened up on the speculations and spilt beans on the sequel development. “Well, I think she is planning it. We are all super excited because part one was amazing. Both Rhea and Sonam are fantastic and I love working with them,” the actress said.

If media reports are to be believed, the script for the sequel is being worked upon and we might hear an official confirmation soon. If things go as supposed, the movie is expected to go on the floors by the end of the year and will be released on the big screen in the second quarter of next year.

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan has multiple movies lined up in her kitty. The actress who was recently seen in the comedy-drama, Good Newwz, has a key role in the upcoming comedy, Angrezi Medium, alongside Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan. Kareena will also be reuniting with Aamir Khan in the Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks starrer Forrest Gump and the shooting for Karan Johar’s magnum opus, Takht, will also be started by next month.
