Varun Sharma became a household name after the success of his debut movie Fukrey and maintained his success with critically acclaimed performances in the commercially successful movies including Dilwale, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, and Fukrey Returns.
While 2018 proved as a commercially unsuccessful year for him as the actor had only one release, FryDay, which failed to mint coins at the box office, the current year served as a comeback for him. Varun Sharma appeared in back to back comedy-drama movies and claimed his status as the new era comedy king.
Varun shared screen space with Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon in the action-comedy Arjun Patiala which released on the big screen in July, and he recently played a pivotal character in the Sonakshi Sinha starrer Khandaani Shafakhana that released last week. Meanwhile, the actor is gearing up for the release of upcoming romantic comedy-drama Chhichhore with Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead.
He will also play a part in the Dinesh Vijan directorial horror-comedy Roohi Afza alongside Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor. While Varun Sharma is on a spree of back to back movies, one can easily tell that he has a long career in the Bollywood industry with his quirky yet endearing persona.
