Varun Dhawan has been one of the most successful actors of his generation and he has given back to back blockbusters in his career. While the last few outings of the Badlapur actor have been rough, he is aiming for better scripts to showcase his versatility with movies in different space. As per the report, Varun will be teaming up with Kesari director Anurag Singh for an action drama.

A source close to the development of the project informs that Varun Dhawan has come on board for an action movie titled Sanki which is to be helmed by Anurag Singh. The project is being bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala production and it is being made to be a pan-India mass entertainer. Anurag Singh’s directorial debut in Bollywood turned out to be one of biggest earners of the year and he is being sought as a promising director for the actioner.

Surprisingly, Sajid Nadiadwala had booked the title Sanki decades ago and there were rife rumours that Salman Khan starrer vigilante movie Kick was titled Sanki. However, the filmmaker refuted such claims and the movie released with the title Kick while its sequel is on the cards.
