Varun Dhawan has been making headlines lately for his upcoming movies including the reboot Coolie No 1 and the dance drama Street Dancer. While the actor is busy shooting back to back, he met with an unfortunate incident at the sets of David Dhawan directorial Coolie No 1.

As per the report, Varun Dhawan was shooting for a major stunt scene in the outskirts of Pune for the reboot of the Govinda starrer and he was inside a car which was hung from a cliff. While the stunt was rehearsed and every possible precaution was taken by the stunt professionals, it didn’t go as well.

During the shooting of the stunt scene, Varun realized that the car door is jammed and he is trapped inside the car hanging from the cliff. However, the actor remained calm until the stunt coordinators managed to get him outside of the hanging car unhurt. It was fortunate for the actor to survive the incident as it could have gone wrong in many ways.

The reboot of the Coolie No 1 stars Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan reprising the magical duo of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor from the 1995 blockbuster. Helmed by David Dhawan, the comedy-drama is slated to release on 1 May 2020.
