While the entire world is battling environment issues, India is no behind. After the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, urged the country to shun single-use plastic and encouraged usage of environment-friendly bags, the makers of the upcoming comedy movie Coolie No. 1 decided to implement the same on their film set.

On Sunday, the producer of the remake, Deepshikha Deshmukh took to her social media account to announce that the entire set of Coolie No. 1 starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan has been made plastic-free to protect the environment.

Varun Dhawan also tweeted the same and thanked the producers of the movie for the great initiative. The actor also urged his peers to do the same and support the plastic ban.

Helmed by David Dhawan, the movie is a remake of the classic comedy movie Coolie No. 1 starring Govinda, Kader Khan, and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles. The movie stars Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles and is slated to a release date of 1 May 2020.
