It was earlier informed that Ayushmann Khurrana will be joining hands with ace filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor for a progressive love story and the latest update is that the director has found his female lead in Vaani Kapoor. The Befikre actress will portray the on-screen love-interest of a cross-functional athlete played by Ayushmann Khurrana.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s fans jumped with joy when he signed a love story with Abhishek Kapoor who is known for directing movies like Rock On!!, Kai Po Che, and Kedarnath. While the untitled movie will mark the first collaboration between Khurrana and Kapoor, Vaani will be joining hands with the two for the first time as well. The actress expressed her excitement for working with two talented artists and said, “I have always wanted to work with Abhishek Kapoor, being so inspired by his films this feels like an amazing opportunity to be part of his vision. Ayushman is one of the most talented actors of our generation and I’m only thrilled about our first film together to be this beautiful love story.”
On the other hand, filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor praised Vaani Kapoor for her commitment towards her work and added that there would be great on-screen chemistry between Vaani and Ayushmann. “I thought Vaani was fabulous in Befikre. She’s beautiful and a very committed actor. I am looking forward to having her and Ayushmann on set. I believe their combo will be electrifying,” he said.
Helmed by Abhishek Kapoor, the untitled movie is expected to go on the floors in mid-October and Ayushmann Khurrana is going through an extreme physical transformation to walk into the shoes of a cross-functional athlete in the film.
