India’s largest digital cinema distribution network and in-cinema advertisement platform, UFO Moviez, announced their foray into film distribution on Monday with an intent to establish itself as the one-stop pan India film distribution. Standing on the transformational crossroad, UFO announced a lineup of 11 movies slated for release from December 25, 2020, to March 21, 2021.
Driving on the wheel of change, UFO Moviez will be providing easy access to its content to cinemas for single screen and independent multiplexes guided by three-fold objective model promoting free-based film distribution, virtual print fee as a percentage of box-office revenue instead of upfront fixed charge and zero content risk. The distribution network has also partnered with Jio Studios for nationwide distribution of movies.
With a plan to release one movie every week, UFO Moviez announced a diverse list of movies ranging from biopic and comedy to thriller and horror. Here’s a list of the movies presented by the network with their foray into pan India film distribution.
Shakeela- Starring Richa Chadda and Pankaj Tripathi in the leads, Shakeela is the biographical drama of a popular South film star of the same name. The movie will make its way to the audience on the occasion of Christmas.
Ram Prasad Ki Tehrvi- Starring Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Vikrant Massey in titular characters, Ram Prasad Ki Tehrvi is a family-drama filled with delightful comedy.
12 O’Clock- Helmed by ace director Ram Gopal Verma, 12 O’Clock is a gripping horror-thriller starring Mithun Chakraborty, Flora Saini, Manav Kaul, Krishna Gautam and Makarand Deshpande in the leads.
Aadhar- A satirical social drama about identity, Aadhar proves to be a gripping story featuring Mukkabaaz actor Vineet Kumar Singh in the lead.
Dangerous- An unconventional love story.
Disha Encounter- Directed by Ram Gopal Verma and Anand Chandra, Disha Encounter is a fast-paced thriller featuring Srikanth Iyengar, Sonia Akula, and Praveen Raj in the prominent characters.
Murder- Another directorial by Ram Gopal Verma, Murder is a thriller based on the real-life story of a Dalit boy killed by his father-in-law in alleged hate crime.
Flight- An high-octane action thriller.
