On Tuesday, the micro-blogging website Twitter suspended the account of Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut for reasons not mentioned. Ever since her arrival at the social media platform, Kangana had been commenting on everything under the sun and creating controversies with each of her tweet. While the reason for her account suspension remains a mystery, for now, it is being speculated that her recent tweet could be the reason.
The actor known for being brutally opinionated had earlier commented on the recent Assembly elections in West Bengal and urged the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, to ‘tame’ West Bengal’s Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee. The tweet read, “This is horrible… We need super gundai to kill gundai… she is like an unleashed monster, to tame her Modi ji please show your Virat roop from early 2000’s …. #PresidentRuleInBengal (sic).”

In her tweet, Kangana was purportedly referring to the 2002 Gujarat riots to target PM Modi alleging that his party supporters were being targetted in West Bengal after the results of Assembly elections. Since her tweet created a ruckus on the social media platform, it is being speculated that Twitter suspended her account for instigating a political dispute.
