Television and Indian movie actress Aditi Dev Sharma, who is currently seen as Mauli in Color’s ‘Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka’  will soon be seen in a Punjabi film ‘Laatu’ directed by debutant Maanav Shah,  along side singer Gagan Kokri , who marks his debut as an actor.

The film produced by Farid Entertainment and New Era Movies is based on Electricity considered as a social status symbol in the villages of Punjab in the 1960s and how couples were married based on access to electricity being an important criteria for matrimonial prospects.

‘Laatu’ will be Aditi’s fifth  Punjabi film after ‘Angrej’, ‘Subedar Joginder Singh’, ‘Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua’ and ‘Nankana’. The actress plays a simple village girl in love with Gagan’s character, but in order for their marital union to happen, Gagan must have the luxury of electricity in his house. The film also stars Anita Devgn, Sardar Sohi, Hardeep Gill, Karamjit Anmol in pivotal characters.

Aditi is currently being loved for her strong and inspiring portrayal of the character Mauli in her present show based on Extra marital affair along side actor Shakti Arora and Kinshuk Mahajan. Its this show that has given the much deserved recognition to the actress for her talent and performance.

‘Laatu’ will hit the Indian theatres tomorrow i.e, on 16th November 2018.
