The buzz around Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-anticipated film Spirit just got louder, as Triptii Dimri has officially been announced as the female lead opposite Prabhas. The casting news has taken the internet by storm, with fans excited to witness this fresh and dynamic pairing for the very first time.
Triptii, who won hearts with her performances in Bulbbul, Qala, and most recently Animal, will share screen space with Prabhas in what’s being positioned as a pan-world action spectacle. The project reunites her with the Animal dream team — director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, and co-producer Pranay Reddy Vanga — sparking high expectations among both fans and industry insiders.
Expressing her excitement, Triptii took to social media and wrote, “Still sinking in… So grateful to be trusted with this journey. Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga… honoured to be a part of your vision.”
While the plot of Spirit remains tightly under wraps, early reports suggest that Prabhas will play an intense and emotionally complex police officer, a role that promises to showcase his depth as an actor like never before.
Interestingly, the project was initially offered to Deepika Padukone, but creative and contractual differences reportedly led to her walking away from the film. A source revealed that scheduling issues and clauses around shoot duration led to disagreements, prompting the makers to look for a new lead, eventually finalising Triptii.
Jointly produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, Spirit is currently in its pre-production stage and is set to go on floors in 2025. With a stellar cast, proven collaborators, and a story crafted for global appeal, Spirit is shaping up to be one of the most awaited films on the Indian cinematic horizon.
