And the most anticipated trailer of the Dhamaal franchise’s third installment is out today. Indra Kumar’s ‘Total Dhamaal’ touts itself to take the audience on the wildest adventure ever.
Set to release on 22nd February, Total Dhamaal seems to be a much more wackier and downgraded version of its 2007 movie.
While the first installment starring Arshad Warsi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Aashish Chaudhary, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sanjay Dutt, Vijay Raaz and Sanjay Mishra is considered as one of the best comedy movies ever made in Bollywood, the same can’t really be said for the upcoming installment going by its trailer.
The trailer description of the movie states, “After Guddu & Jonny, small time con men get double-crossed of their illegal booty by their own colleague Daddu, starts a mad crazy adventure between Guddu-Jonny & 3 other groups i.e Avinash & Bindu – a bickering couple about to be divorced; Lallan & Jhingur – Fire officers turned offenders & two weird siblings Aditya & Manav after they disagree to distribute the booty equally.
Going by the trailer, we see some iconic moments from the original film given a new twist , however, only time will tell if it is able to tickle our funny bones as organically as it did in Dhamaal. For now the movie for the major part seems to have been shot on green screen and that’s kind of jarring.
Mega stars like Madhuri Dixit, Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor and Johnny Lever will be see in the third part of this franchise in their funniest best along with the original cast sans Dutt and Aashish. Superstar Aamir Khan might also be seen a cameo role in the movie.
