While the entire entertainment industry was put on halt amid the Coronavirus scare, people have now started to live alongside the deadly viral pandemic. Production for the much-speculated instalment of the blockbuster actioner series, Mission: Impossible, starring Hollywood actor Tom Cruise was halted alongside many other movie productions. However, the latest reports suggest that the makers of the franchise are looking forward to resuming the production of the movie with proper precautions in place.

Production for the seventh instalment to the much-loved franchise was halted earlier this year in wake of the COVID-19, but the makers are in talks to schedule the outdoor shoots primarily in the month of September. Confirming the news, actor Simon Pegg, who plays an important character of Benji Dunn in the franchise, said that they will begin outdoor shooting soon. “That feels fairly doable, and obviously there will be precautions put in place,” added the actor.

However, Simon also expressed his uncertainty in the precautionary measures which will be taking place during the production of the actioner. “People that are involved in any close proximity stuff, it will have to be determined that they’re safe to do that. I don’t know what the testing situation is, how that works, or whether they’ll be able to be tested regularly,” added the actor.

Mission Impossible 7 was earlier slated to release on 21st of July, 2021, but Paramount Pictures has announced the new release date of the seventh and eighth instalments of the series. Mission Impossible 7 will now hit the screens on November 19, 2021, while the follow-up eighth instalment is scheduled to release on November 4, 2022. Christopher McQuarrie will direct the next two instalments of the franchise starring Tom Cruise as the protagonist.
