With every character of popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah becoming a household name, they are popularly referred as to their on-screen character names. While the show is followed and loved by one and all, there is a sad piece of news for the fans of TMKOC. Ghanshyam Nayak, who plays the character of Nattu Kaka in the popular comedy drama, was admitted to a hospital for a throat surgery.
While Ghanshyam Nayak was to return to the sets of the sitcom after the government announced relaxations in the ‘unlock’ phases, his fans will have to wait a little longer than expected to see him back in the show. The 65-year-old actor had been having a sore throat and after going for a checkup, doctors found a lump in his throat which had to be operated as soon as possible. Following the diagnosis and procedures, the actor has been admitted to a hospital for a surgery which is to be carried out tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the makers of the 12-year-old comedy show are under tension as Ghanshyam Nayak is not the only character to not return to the sets for shooting. Neha Mehta and Gurucharan Singh, who plays the popular characters of Anjali Mehta and Roshan Singh Sodhi in the show, respectively, have decided to bid adieu. Sunayana Fozdar and Balwinder Singh Suri will be replaced the famous faces in the sitcom.
EntNetwrk wishes a speedy recovery to Ghanshyam Nayak and hopes that he returns to entertain his fans soon.
