Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans were left astounded as a well-known TV actress levelled disturbing allegations of sexual and mental harassment against the show’s producer, Asit Kumarr Modi, along with head of operations Sohil Ramani and assistant Jatin Bajaj. The actress claims that Ramani and his assistant insulted her and forced her to leave the set on March 7. Later, the production team sent her a notice, citing financial losses due to her absence. This compelled her to seek legal support and serve them a legal notice.

Speaking to a news portal, the actress asserted that she possesses substantial evidence to substantiate her claims. She accused the show’s producer of making multiple sexually suggestive remarks, which she refrained from addressing earlier due to fear of the consequences. According to her, the three individuals subjected her to repeated instances of mental harassment over the years. Despite the negative environment, she continued working as she is the sole breadwinner.

While Asit Kumarr Modi’s team has assured a legal response to the allegations, production head Sohil Ramani denied the claims and presented their own evidence against the actress. He further alleged that she only spoke out after they took action against her.

During an exclusive interview with indianexpress.com, Ramani expressed, “This is merely a ploy for cheap publicity. If any harassment had occurred, she could have reported it to the authorities earlier. Our production house has a dedicated committee to address women’s issues, and she could have approached them. We will address her allegations legally and are already working on our response. It is a tactic to tarnish our reputation, the show, and our production house.”
