Indian actor best known for his action, Tiger Shroff, is going through a low in his career after back-to-back box office failures. With his last outing with Akshay Kumar in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan failed to recover costs, the makers are cautious with new projects. As per the latest reports, his next actioner Hero No. 1 has been put on a halt for now.

It was earlier informed that Tiger Shroff will star in the high-octane action thriller Hero No. 1 to be helmed by Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti. The movie was reported to boast a high budget and break new ground in the Indian action space, however, with Tiger’s recent debacles, the movie is reported to have been shelved. Tiger’s last three box office outings, namely Heropanti 2Ganpath and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan failed to live up the expectations and took heavy losses.

According to reports, Hero No. 1 has begun filming and has completed 20 per cent of its timeline before the makers pulled out the plug. The rest of the portions of the movie were supposed to be filmed after the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, however, with the box office disaster, Pooja Entertainment paused the production on the project. Further reports claim that the filmmaker Jagan Shakti has already moved to his next project with Ajay Devgn which is expected to go on the floors in December.

The news of the shelving of Hero No. 1 comes after the news of Screw Dheela and Rambo getting shelved earlier. Both the projects were highly anticipated and Tiger had expressed his excitement for the Rambo remake multiple times. However, the two projects never went on the floors unlike Hero No. 1. Apart from Tiger Shroff, the actioner had Disha Patani and Pashmina Roshan in the key roles.

Currently, the fans of Tiger Shroff have high hopes for the fourth instalment of his successful franchise Baaghi.
