Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif fans were elated with joy when the production of the third instalment of their blockbuster Tiger franchise was announced. However, soon after a huge set was erected in Goregaon, the filming was disrupted as the lead, Katrina Kaif, tested positive for COVID-19.
Days after Katrina was tested positive for the virus, the Maharashtra government announced a complete lockdown in the state halting all the production activities in the B-Town. The movie production has been kept on halt ever since and the makers have to pay hefty amounts to maintain the set in lockdown. The recent Tauktae Cyclone had also damaged some parts of the set causing portions of the set unusable. Now, the makers have decided to dismantle the entire set and make it from scratch once the shooting is permitted.
The head honcho of Yash Raj Films, Aditya Chopra, has also mentioned that he will resume the filming of Tiger 3 once every unit of the film completes their two doses of vaccination. The sets will be re-erected in Goregaon, Maharashtra, once the makers are ready to film the project.
To be helmed by Manish Sharma, the third instalment of the Tiger movie franchise will feature Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles as they reprise their characters from the previous instalments. The movie will also feature Emraan Hashmi in a key role that is yet to be disclosed.
