Comic book based live-action anti-hero, Deadpool, has been a crowd favourite ever since the first movie of the superhit franchise released in the theatres. However, Deadpool 2 had a rather cold response at the box office compared to the first instalment and post the Disney-Fox deal, Deadpool 3 is speculated to have many drastic changes in the creative team of the franchise.
As per the report published in an international entertainment portal, Marvel head Kevin Feige and other decision-makers of the superhero franchise are keen on replacing the director and the writers for the upcoming third instalment. As per the report, Ryan Reynolds, who plays the titular character in the Deadpool franchise, wants to retain the old creative team of David Leitch and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. However, Marvel Studios are planning to bring the writers team of Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who penned down Ant-Man and the Wasp, for the said project.
Another report claims that Marvel Studios plans to Thor: Ragnarok and Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi to take the director’s chair for Deadpool 3. However, there has been no official confirmation or announcement about the same yet and the makers are currently in the decision making stage for the highly-anticipated upcoming project.
