The new wave of COVID-19 has created a panic in the country and has left many states struggling for medical resources. While the netizens and celebrities are doing their part by sharing contact information of the needy and suppliers as well as raising funds to procure more medical resources, a few production houses are determined to complete their projects. In a similar incident, Punjabi actor and renowned comedian Upasana Singh have been booked for carrying out production illegally.

Many states introduced partial lockdowns or night curfew to contain the spread of the virus as much as possible and break the chain of infection. Production houses are given strict protocols to avoid gathering for the filming of their projects. However, it was found that Upasana Singh and the crew of her upcoming movie were found shooting illegally without the consent or permission of the state.

As per the sources, when police learnt about such malpractice, they reached the set of the movie and found Upasana along with others filming without any permission letter for the same. The entire crew were booked for putting people at the risk of infection and violating protocols to contain the viral spread. An FIR has been filed under the Epidemic Diseases Act against the team at the Morinda Police Station.
