While the actress recently wrapped up the filming of Shakun Batra’s untitled drama and started shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback, Pathan. She is already preparing for her next with Nag Ashwin. Meanwhile, the latest report suggests that her ambitious project, The Intern, has been revived.

The Hindi adaptation of Hollywood’s comedy-drama of the same name was announced years ago with Deepika Padukone and late actor Rishi Kapoor playing the key roles. However, after the unfortunate demise of Rishi Kapoor, who was to play the character of a 70-year-old intern originally portrayed by Robert De Niro, the movie was put on an indefinite halt. Now, the latest source close to the development of the movie informs that the makers have started moving the Hindi adaptation forward.

According to the report, Badhai Ho filmmaker Amit Sharma has been locked to helm the project and he has already prepared a draft for his adaptation of The Intern. While the makers are still working on a replacement for Rishi Kapoor, the movie is expected to go on the floors in November. The Hindi adaptation is being bankrolled by Sunir Kheterpal with Deepika Padukone.
