The deuce of Farhan Akhtar and Annu Kapoor in ‘The Fakir of Venice’ is set to cast spell on the audience with its out of the box concept. The makers of the movie have launched the trailer and it is an absolute rib tickle, giving a brief on human behaviour at the same time.
Farhan was going to mark his debut as an actor with the movie in 2009, but it went to cold storage due to production issues. Now almost after a decade, the movie is going to hit the screens. Even though its been years, the trailer doesn’t look out dated, in fact, looks promising, fresh, and engaging.
The trailer which presents Farhan and Annu in the lead role is a comedy con drama where Farhan is seen playing the character of a con artist who has been sent to India to find a fakir for an art experiment in Venice. Farhan’s hound for a perfect fakir traces him to different cities of India where he finally ends up finding an alcoholic slum-dweller from Mumbai played by Kapoor who makes him to believe in his religious genuineness. They then begin their journey of misadventure where they fool people to earn some quick bucks in Europe, but then there is a secret the Fakir has kept to himself.
Directed by Anand Surapur who is popularly known for creating advertisements, the movie is slated to release on 18 January 2019. Watch the trailer in the link below:
