The American actor Robert Pattinson has been one of the most talked-about actors in the recent months for his last release, The Batman, and the DC fans approved his portrayal of a raw and fresh take on the most famous comic book-based superhero in the DC Universe. While the first standalone movie was a great success at the box office, the makers are all prepared to take it a notch up with a keenly anticipated sequel.

At the recent CinemaCon event in Las Vegas, Warner Bros revealed its plans for the sequel to the recent blockbuster, The Batman, which the original team. Filmmaker Matt Reeves, who envisioned the new protector of the Gotham city will be returning as the director to helm the second instalment of the franchise. Robert Pattinson, who played the iconic superhero character in the movie, will be reprising his role in the sequel as well and we expect many more characters to return to the big screen with this exciting announcement.

“Matt took one of our most iconic and beloved superheroes and delivered a fresh. Matt Reeves, Rob Pattinson and the entire team will be taking audiences back to Gotham with The Batman 2,” Warner Bros movie chief Toby Emmerich said during the presentation. On the other hand, filmmaker Matt Reeves thanked the fans for their positive response and hyped up the second instalment without revealing any potential plot.

The post-credit scene of The Batman introduced the arch-rival, Joker, portrayed by critically-acclaimed actor, Barry Keoghan, and the fans expect the sequel to be revolving around the menacing supervillain playing his mind games in the Gotham city. The sequel may also introduce more supervillains to the new universe created by Matt Reeves.
