After much speculations, the first shooting schedule of Ajith starrer cop-drama, Valimai, commenced on 13 December and it was reportedly wrapped on last Friday. While the first leg of the shooting was carried out in Hyderabad, reports suggest that the second schedule will be shot in Chennai soon.

Valimai is a Tamil-language cop-drama that brings together actor Ajith and director H Vinoth for a second-time post the Tamil remake of blockbuster Bollywood movie, Pink, which originally starred Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan in the key roles. While Valimai marks a second collaboration for the actor-director duo, makers are keen on keeping the project under veils.

As per the report, the use of cellphone by supporting cast and technicians at the Hyderabad sets of the movie was banned by the makers to prevent leaks. While huge sets were erupted in the heart of Hyderabad, reports suggest that many important fighting sequences were shot in the first shooting schedule of the Ajith starrer.

Meanwhile, the makers are leaving no stones unturned to keep the project confidential but if reports have to be believed, Yami Gautam might play the leading lady in the actioner opposite Thala Ajith. Bankrolled by Boney Kapoor and helmed by H Vinoth, Valimai is expected to hit the theatres by the last quarter of 2020.
