A source close to the development of the movie has confirmed that the makers have locked on to the female lead for the highly-anticipated Hindi remake and she is none other than Mrunal Thakur, who is currently shooting for another Hindi remake, Jersey, starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead. Mrunal will be essaying the character of a cop which was originally portrayed by Divya Pradeep in the Arjun Vijay starrer.

The action-thriller, Thadam, was a critical and commercial success in the Tamil entertainment industry and we are expecting nothing less from its official Hindi remake.
