‘Hate Story’ and ‘Chocolate’ fame director  Vivek Agnihotri  brings to you ‘The Tashkent Files’, a thriller-drama that will make you question the political history of the nation.

The Tashkent Files based on the mysterious death of former Prime Minister of India, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, is a present day tale of a fictitious inquiry committee set to probe the investigation as to whether Shastri ji died of a heart attack or was it a well perpetrated murder?

The ensemble cast to carry forward this thrilling investigation includes Naseeruddin Shah, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Mandira Bedi, Achint Kaur, Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Prasad and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal characters.

The team released the trailer of the movie recently and it has all the elements of curiosity, intrigue, drama, thriller and politics to get you excited to watch this fictitious investigation, that too at a time when elections are coming closer and the year is filled with back to back politically charged propaganda films.
