Tapsee Pannu is currently one of the busiest actresses of the B-town who recently wrapped her sports-drama, Rashmi Rocket, and has already started working on her next, Shabaash Mithu, which is a biopic on Indian cricketer Mithali Raj. The Thappad actress started her on-the-field cricket training with coach Nooshi Al Khadeer.

The actress known as the face of the modern woman in the Indian entertainment industry took to her social media handle to share a picture of her as she gears up with cricket bat. Along with the training picture, she wrote, “And romance with the bat n the ball has begun…. long way to go but a good start is half job done 🙂 This is going to be another milestone of sorts…. For our captain cool @M_Raj03 (Mithali Raj) and all her #WomenInBlue”.

She also shared her experience with the cricket bat and the challenge to get into the shoes of an international cricketer. “I’ve never played the game before, have just been a spectator and a hyperventilating fan of the game. Being on the other side is going to be a huge challenge I’ve thrown at myself. But I feel pressure brings out the best in me. This is probably that one common trait I can identify between me and Mithali,” Tapsee said.

Helmed by Rahul Dholakia, Shabaash Mithu features Tapsee Pannu as Indian cricketer Mithali Raj, Test and ODI Captain of women’s national cricket team.
