After directing Salman Khan in blockbuster Bollywood movies like Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Bharat, ace-filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar is all prepared to make his way to the OTT platform with web-series, Tandav. While the Amazon Prime Video’s web-series with Saif Ali Khan in the lead is heading to its release on Friday, the filmmaker has already worked out the script for the second season.
Talking to a tabloid, Ali Abbas Zafar said that the Coronavirus-induced nation-wide lockdown was a boon to the writers as they got to work on their projects. The director spent his time at his home in Dehradun for five months and kept working on the scripts of his future projects. Ali has already developed the script for the second season of the upcoming web-series, Tandav, and he expects to get it on the floors soon.
Talking about Tandav, Ali Abbas Zafar said that Saif Ali Khan was his first choice for the thrilling web-series with a boost of politics. The teaser and trailer of the web-series were well received by the audiences and the character of Saif Ali Khan, Samar Pratap Singh, is highly anticipated with his borderline grey personality at the centre of the political backdrop.
Alongside Saif Ali Khan as the protagonist, renowned actors like Dimple Kapadia, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Kritika Kamra and Gauahar Khan will also be seen in key roles throughout the first season of the web-series. The first season of Tandav is scheduled for release on 15 January exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
