Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu is currently one of the busiest in the town with a number of projects in her kitty. However, her success attracted the suspicion of a discrepancy of income and the Income Tax Department conducted a raid at her residence along with 30 different locations on Wednesday.
With allegations from the Income Tax Department, Taapsee Pannu decided to put forth her side of the story and clarified the alleged bungalow in Paris and cash receipt of 5 crore INR in question. The Thappad actress took to her Twitter handle to self-clarify the charges put against her and wrote, “3 days of intense search of 3 things primarily 1. The keys of the “alleged” bungalow that I apparently own in Paris. Because summer holidays are around the corner.”
In the second tweet, Taapsee mentioned the alleged cash receipt and tweeted, “2. The “alleged” receipt worth 5 crores to frame n keep for future pitching coz I’ve been refused that money before.” followed by an angry emoticon. In the last tweet of the series, the actress addressed the remark of the Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, and wrote, “3. My memory of 2013 raid that happened with me according to our honourable finance minister P.S- “not so sasti” anymore.”
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu is currently shooting the time-travel drama, Dobaaraa, with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap which also marks their second collaboration.
