1. Kai Po Che (2013)

Sushant Singh Rajput made his debut in the Bollywood industry alongside Rajkummar Rao and Amit Sadh in the Abhishek Kapoor directorial, Kai Po Che. The movie did an unexpected business at the box office and received critical acclaim for the overwhelming performances of the lead trio. The movie is marked as one of the best depiction of hard work and friends’ journey on the Indian silver screen.

2. Detective Byomkesh Bakshy (2015)

Post getting recognition with commercial movies like Shuddh Desi Romance and PK, Sushant Singh Rajput played the titular character in the mystery thriller, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. While the movie sunk at the box office, the Dibaker Banerjee directorial is one of best performances by Sushant Singh Rajput.

3. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016)

Helmed by Neeraj Pandey, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story became a milestone in the film career of Sushant Singh Rajput as he portrayed the real-life journey of the former skipper of the Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Sushant received critical acclamation for his performance in the Dhoni’s biopic and the movie became the highest-grossing movie of his acting career till date.

4. Kedarnath (2018)

Reuniting with Abhishek Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput portrayed the character of a mature porter in the love story set in the backdrop of Kedarnath floods. While the movie attracted a number of controversies for its plotline, the performances of the lead pair were highly acclaimed and the movie went to enter the 100 crore club at the Indian box office.

5. Chhichhore (2019)

Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, Chhichhore was a perfect college drama in the first half of the movie and a completely different movie in the second half. With an ensemble cast of Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Tushar Pandey, and Prateik Babbar among others, Chhichhore went on to become a blockbuster at the Indian box office and minted 215.41 crore INR.
