The Tarun Mansukhani directorial Drive starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead pair has been in the news lately for its release date. The high-speed car chasing action flick had an initial release scheduled for September 2018 but the movie got pushed to the current year.
The makers announced that the action movie will have a theatrical release in the month of June but apparently it is not happening anymore. According to the sources, the movie is behind its release date due to multiple reasons and incomplete visual effects is one of them. The movie has a lot of VFX sequences which might need more time to complete.
Additionally, Sushant Singh Rajput’s last release Sonchiriya was a commercial failure and he is awaiting the release of his upcoming movie Chhichhore which may prove as a turning point in his career. According to a close source to the development of the movie, the makers are waiting for the release of Chhichhore to make a push to their upcoming release.
The movie is being bankrolled by the production banner of Karan Johar and stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. We may expect a theatrical release of the movie next year.
