Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar starrer dacoit drama ‘Sonchiriya’ first teaser released today and it gives an intriguing and enthralling effect.

The movie directed by ‘Udta Punjab’ famed director Abhishek Chaubey under the banner of Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP, is set in the wilderness of Chambal region and deals with the dacoits and their rivalries. The teaser also introduces Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana in critical roles.

The one and half minute teaser gives the audience a glimpse into the dark plot of the movie where Sushant  has totally reinvented his look for his intense role as a Dacoit, while ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ actress Bhumi can also be seen having dawned an entirely different avtar from her previous projects.

The teaser which starts with the voice over of Manoj Bajpayee also gives a powerful insight into the kind of terror the dacoits hold over the village people and Sushant’s character seems to be a rebel challenging the dangerous gang of dacoits.

Abhishek Chaubey well known for directing iconic movies like Ishqiya, Dedh Ishqiya and Udta Punjab where he build bold, unconventional, flawed and layered characters, ‘Sonchiriya’ seems to be another addition to his list.

The movie is slated for a February 2019 release.
