Yash, the breakout star from KGF, has solidified his status as a pan-India sensation. Following the widespread success of KGF Chapter 1 and the pinnacle of his stardom with KGF Chapter 2‘s release, a nearly two-year hiatus from the big screen has fueled anticipation for his next project. Amidst the fervent speculation surrounding his upcoming film, rumours are circulating on social media about Yash potentially securing the lead role in the sequel to HanuMan.
HanuMan, directed by Prasanth Varma, was released during Sankranti, competing against Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram. Starring Teja Sajja, the film emerged as a massive blockbuster, amassing a global collection of nearly 300 crores gross. With the triumphant success, the director has commenced work on the sequel, titled Jai Hanuman.
Amidst the buzz surrounding the HanuMan sequel, rumours suggested Yash’s involvement in the project, portraying the titular character. The viral rumour ignited excitement among fans, but this joy was short-lived. A clarification has surfaced, dismissing Yash’s participation in the film, according to a source close to the actor’s team.
As reported by India Today, the source debunked the rumour as false and baseless, emphasizing that Yash is not considering such a role. The source highlighted Yash’s meticulous approach to film selection, stating his current focus on “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups.”
After a prolonged suspense, Yash unveiled his next project, Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas, scheduled for release on April 10, 2025. Additionally, he is rumoured to be a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan, portraying the role of Ravan. While official confirmation is pending, reports suggest that Ramayan also features Ranbir Kapoor as Shri Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita.
