On Army Day (January 15), Varun Dhawan and Sunny Deol shared glimpses of their preparation for the film alongside real-life heroes. Taking to Instagram, Varun posted two photos with Indian Army officers. One was a selfie, while the other captured him posing proudly with the soldiers. He captioned the post, “Honoring the real heroes of India this #ArmyDay. Proud to be with them. 🇮🇳 #Border2 #prep.”

Sunny Deol also paid tribute with heartfelt posts. A video he shared showed him standing amidst a group of soldiers, chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” Other images featured him posing with the Jawans and even participating in games with them. He wrote, “Then, Now and Forever. Saluting the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of our heroes. Happy Indian Army Day! #HindustanZindabad #ArmyDay.”

Alongside Sunny, Varun, and Diljit, the film will also feature Ahan Shetty. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. The project is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in collaboration with JP Dutta’s JP Films.
Announced on June 13, 2024, to commemorate the 27th anniversary of the original Border, the sequel aims to uphold the legacy of the classic film. With production underway, Border 2 is set to hit theaters on January 23, 2026, promising to bring another tale of heroism and sacrifice to the big screen.
