Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is currently busy with the promotions of his much-awaited film, Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma. The movie also stars Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in significant roles. After a 22-year hiatus, the Gadar team’s return has fans buzzing with excitement. In a recent interview, Sunny discussed various industry-related issues and shared his thoughts on new actors prioritising building bodies over acting.

Speaking to Aaj Tak, Sunny Deol expressed his views on the changing trends in the industry. He highlighted how new actors often focus on having six-pack abs, a trend he does not fully comprehend. The actor believes their mindset should be more geared towards acting than bodybuilding or dancing skills.

Sunny further lamented the decline in original content in Bollywood, attributing it to both the filmmakers and audience’s preferences. He expressed concerns about Hindi cinema leaning more towards films influenced by other industries instead of producing authentic stories.

As for Gadar 2, which is set to release on August 11, the film’s advance bookings are showing positive signs, and anticipation is high for this sequel. The movie will face competition from Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 at the box office.

In recent headlines, Sunny’s father and veteran actor Dharmendra also made news with his appearance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The film has been receiving a good response, with particular attention drawn to a kiss scene between Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi.
