American science fiction horror drama television series, Stranger Things, is undoubtedly one of the most loved series across the globe and fans had been eagerly waiting for the new season. With Stranger Things 4 Volume 1, the fans are elated as the series lived up to the expectations and a wait of 3 years.
Released on 27th May, Stranger Things 4 broke the record to become the biggest-ever premiere weekend of an English-language series and as per Netflix’s Top 10 list, the fiction horror drama has garnered 287 million hours just within the three days of availability. Stranger Things 4 has beaten its own previous record and Bridgerton 2’s viewership numbers 193 million hours over its debut weekend.
It has been reported that the makers allotted a whopping budget of $30 million per episode for the latest instalment, making it the most expensive season in history. Another epic fantasy thriller series, Game Of Thrones, held the record of having the biggest budget for a long time but Stranger Things 4 has surpassed it and in fact, spent double.
Not only the latest season but other seasons of the series are also trending in the top 10 positions on the streaming platform. While the fans are enjoying the first volume of Stranger Things 4, a second instalment is slated for a premiere in July this year.
